I got part of my day back!!

This morning was what I sure hope will be my last doctor visit for a while - a long while. It was much better than the rest. I hardly had to wait at all. My blood pressure made her happy. I let her do a pap smear - been a long time since I had one of those...

We discussed mammogram and colonoscopy and I declined both and she listened to my reasons (if they find something, I know I'm not going to do anything about it so why look?) and didn't give me a hard time. She looked at a bunch of stuff and listened and poked and felt and it appears as if I'm fine and dandy which works out great for me! We agreed to re-visit the cholesterol thing in 6 months. And she said that if I got another blood test and the potassium was ok, I could quit taking the torpedo pill.

Sadly, the vampire I drew was not so talented. She blew out the vein in my arm making a very sore and very very ugly place. I sure hope the potassium is down so it will have been worth it!

I don't have to leave for Redmond for another hour! I have two meetings there today and just now got booked for two more on Tuesday. Do I look like someone who likes to go to meetings? Er no. And I work at home so I don't have to run out to Redmond every day! But, it won't kill me...

I finally got my Kone hand vac yesterday. Dirt Devil came out with these things a few months ago and sold only white for a while. Finally they released the other colors - plum is what I was looking for. It's beautiful!! I need another one for the fish room. It needs to be plum, too. But, I'm going to wait until J&R or someone gets their supply in. Dirt Devil makes a fine product but their consumer sales and support sucks harder than their vacs. This new one, in addition to being just gorgeous, has quite the sucking power.

Mainly, I love that when I have a small bit to suck up, I don't have to go into the closet and dig out the old ugly one that never did suck that well anyway.

It does look cute. Would that be something I could use for crumbs and cat hair? And actually, would it suck the cat hair off a keyboard? :)

well, I just gave that a go... I just sucked up my keyboard and it worked fine! Good idea! I just used it to pick up the glass slivers from a jar I just dropped in the kitchen - half on the carpet and half on the tile. It did that fine, too.
