Bonny gets TWO papers - the Wall Street Journal and the Seattle Times. I skimmed both. I'd already skimmed the Seattle Times online and, turns out, no diff. Also the WSJ told me there's a new, interesting sounding, mystery series coming to BritBox tomorrow - Ludwig

My New Zealand friends are coming in July. This trip involves some National Parks. Scott ordered passes for them long before our government imploded. Turns out, there are hoops ordering passes from another country and one is, they won't send them. So he used my address and has been stressing over their delivery for a while. He was afraid the USPS would be shut down before they got here. BUT, they did, in fact, arrive today. I even made a special trip down to the front desk to pick them up. They would have delivered but I didn't want to add Kiwi stress plus... steps!

SteveTheLawyer sent another email today. There are three bits of the inheritance yet to finish. There is a retirement account, a regular (TOD) investment account, and the final bits and bobs. Today he sent an email saying that the retirement account will be liquidated, the taxes paid, and a check to us "with proper accounting and tax information provided". He does not yet have the money and he gave no timeline, but this is more clear and more credible than his usual emails so maybe? As usual, whothefuckknows.

But, I'd dearly love to know that I'm not on the bring of bagladyism.

There is massive pounding going on in Myrna's apartment.

Ludwig is amusing (I love David Mitchell to bits), but requires a lot of suspension of disbelief. And the "eccentric/autistic genius who runs circles around regular cops/detective" thing is getting a bit old. Makes you wonder why police departments even bother with detectives anymore. All they apparently need is one civilian who is on the spectrum and all crimes will be solved in a flash!

I agree that the premise is wildly silly, but it's so well acted that I don't care. David Mitchell is great, of course, but I also love Anna Maxwell Martin as his brother's wife. I just enjoy the performances and let the silliness flow over my head.

Ludwig sounds like a takeoff on Tony Shalhoub's show Monk, though that was made over twenty years ago.
