Julio. Every couple of days now. I think it's because I've added more dry kibble to their diet. I'm going to give him another week and then I'll yank the kibble. It will piss them both off but they will get over it.
I did put the water fountain back out. Julio loves to play in water and so far this has worked on a couple of fronts. He's been after lamp shades recently and this has diverted him from that and also he might drink some.
So... when you move into Timber Ridge you pay a giant sum that they call a 'loan' (which I think is pretty hilarious - they pay no interest) the size of said loan is dependent on the size of your apartment. In my case it was pretty close to $500,000. 80% of that 'loan' will be refunded to you or your estate when one of 2 things happen:
1. 30 years go by and you are still living here - in my case, they'd pay me $400,000. I'll be 105 years old.
2. You stop paying rent - either you die or otherwise move out.
In the second case, they pay the money 24 months after you stop paying rent OR when someone else moves into your apartment and starts paying rent.
So Myrna's money grubbing daughter and her husband (who, by the way, were independently wealthy before Myrna died and have no children) apparently didn't make enough money from selling every bit of her stuff for way more than it was worth, are now itching to get their hands on that loan money. They called Joan last week to ask if anyone had moved into Myrna's apartment yet.
Based on my own experience, if someone said yes and signed the papers on the day Myrna died, it would still be 8-10 weeks or so before they could claim the apartment - so mid-April at the very earliest. And Joan (or any of us inmates) will likely be the very last person to even know if someone was interested. Just when I think those people can't be tacky enough, they show me how wrong I am.
I need to empty the dishwasher and fill the clothes washer and do my exercises and that's all I have on today's Todo list.
I haven't read Bonny's Sunday paper yet but it can wait.
I got a different basket from my stash of Stuff To Put Stuff In* and made a new sign. So now I have an inside stock and a shelf stock. Still not sure how this is going to pan out yet.

The sign says: I make knitted creatures and leave them here on my shelf for anyone who wants one. If there is one here you would like, please take it!!
I make one or two or more everyday but sometimes demand exceeds supply. I’m sorry if you came looking and the basket was empty. I hope you’ll try again.
