My leg, same one as before, woke me up last night. The pain is not nearly as bad or as sharp as it was but I do worry that it is a harbinger. This morning it is an ache. So today there will be walking. Way more than usual. I could go outside but I think not. Inside will be fine. I'll go over to the other side of the complex and start there. Walk a floor, stairs down to the next one, walk, next, etc. and then repeat over here on this side.
Unless it makes my leg hurt worse and then I'll go swim. And do my exercises.
That's the plan.
No words from any of the things I'm waiting for. When the CPA sent out his request for info there was a lot of verbiage about filing extensions. Initially I read it as This Is What Happens If You Don't Get Us Your Shit In Time so glossed over because I knew that wasn't me. Now I can't find the letter to read the dets. BUT why am I even worrying. I'll pay whatever they say I must and pay it by the deadline which is still 3 weeks away. My stressing over it is a very useless exercise.
We are due to have thunder storms here this afternoon which is a BFD around here. Contrary to the Seattle you see on TV and in the movies, lightening and thunder is rare here. In TV weather reports, they report individual lightening strikes as events like other parts of the country report tornadoes. 'There was a lightening strike just south of Tacoma...' Coming from a part of the country where thunder storms happen nightly in Summer, this always amuses me.
Yesterday I had a run in with Ingrid. Well, not really. She tried hard to bait me in front of some staff and I just kept my mouth shut but it left a really bad taste. Then John told me that he just learned that anyone can break into any smart phone - clearly implying I should get rid of mine immediately. And suddenly I was so over old people. But, then, on my way down to pick up Bonny's mail, I ran into Ethel (friend of Myrna's and wife of Gary who plays volleyball) who is so sharp and so kind and a few minutes of conversation with her fixed everything. I do miss Myrna so much.
My Hulu month is over and now it's Netflix month. I am now rewatching season one of The Recruit cause now there is a season 2. Then I'll catch up on a few other things. I wanted to see the new John Mulaney talk show. I made it to the end of his monologue which was pretty painful but then when a band I never heard of started playing music I didn't like, I was over the whole thing.
I need to reorganize/tidy up my phone - especially if John's right and someone's going to break in. I don't want them thinking I'm a crappy phone housekeeper. Also I might do some laundry.
And I only got one doll made yesterday. I need to get the needles going!

Date: 2025-03-26 06:18 pm (UTC)A year or so ago during a summer storm, a bolt of lightning struck the earth about half a kilometer from here - I had never experienced that, and I don't think I need more of it. I happened to look into the direction of the strike at the moment, it was very bright an very loud - I'd never heard a crack and boom that loud before.
As for Netflix, I'm just binging The Residence. It's quirky and a little complicated and a lot of fun for me.
