I'm getting increasingly concerned about my tax situation. I hand delivered all the goods on February 14 and so far... nearly April... nada. I'm sure they will have it done before it's due. Unless my tax due is astronomical, I have the funds on hand. So other than it just pisses me off, there's really no harm as long as they actually do get it done in time. But, geesh. I'm going to wait until tomorrow and then call. I doubt that will help one bit but so far my emails have been ignored and I figure they do answer the phone.

The flowers have really come out this weekend on the trees outside my window. I don't think they are dogwoods. They must be white cherry trees.

Today is aqua yoga which comes right in the middle of my baseball day but a break will probably be good.

Otherwise it will be bunny making here.

I reinvented my pattern while making the bunnies yesterday.

Before I cast on a circle of stitches and knitted a tube, tied off the top of the head and then stuffed the head, cinched the neck and then sewed up the bottom before splitting the legs and arms.

Now I am starting with a chain of crochet so that the bottom starts off sealed. Then when I get to the waist I sew up the leg seam and stuff. When I get up to the neck, I stuff and cinch. Then I make the head, stuff and tie off and then sew the arms.

The new way feels less tedious and gives a differentish shape that I like better. Also flat feet instead of ballet toes. We'll try it for a while. I did finish 3 bunnies with varying degrees of success. The succession is right to left. The one on the left is the closest to what I'm aiming for but he needs one more row on his head.

This was my frustration working with CPAs for taxes. They assume that no one will mind submitting a tax extension. And paying on or before 15 APR and submitting an extension is not a problem from the IRS point of view. As long as they have your money the paperwork can slide for a long time.

But for you and me who can see no logical reason to put it off, extensions just because they can be done, are infuriating.

I guess it's the busiest time for accountants which can't help. I always do my company accounts immediately at the end of the financial year, which means hand adding up all the interest gained and tax paid on it instead of waiting for the bank statements, as that means my company taxes come back in May instead of waiting for months.

Nope, no implication. My point was that I submit as fast as I can, as you did, because otherwise my accountant (and probably many others) takes months and months. Even with it it's still a long time, but not as bad as that. So yours is around six weeksish so far which would be the earliest possible from my accountant when I submit on the earliest possible day. It can easily be two months or more though.

Are you able to get ahold of anyone at the IRS via phone? I’ve read that it’s pretty difficult 😞
