Whenever I'm about to order from a site I've never ordered from before, I study the return policy from first letter to last punctuation. I think long and hard about and usually reject any site that sounds like their return shit is words only and/or lame. But, once in a while I bite anyway. I bit on a website for women's clothes, knit, plus size, with pockets. I bought a tunic. It was way too expensive but they site seemed worthy of my bucks. It was not. The tunic arrived yesterday. Great fabric/great color and egregiously illfitting. Way too long. Sleeves way tighter than they promised. And the shoulder seam did not come close to hitting my shoulder.

And it's a pay for return - nothing provided. Not even a label. So today I will schlep over to the post office which will cost me a pretty penny but maybe. The problem is, the post office here is the poster child for government suckage. It's filthy. They appear to be staffed with about 1/4th of the number required to reach adequate. All of the self service machines are always broken. It's just gross. Which is interesting considering the rest of the town is so clean and pretty and staffed with lovely people.

Oh, wait, I just googled and learned that FedEx now has flat rate pricing that appears lower than the post office. Their shop is clean and bright and full of people waiting to help. Ok! Excellent. That's my plan for this afternoon.

Today is house cleaner day and so I'll wait until then.

Yesterday's drill went fairly well. Everybody was on their best behavior and we were all done in 30 minutes.

I finally did hear from Bret. Paul's deal involves a tax swap that has conditions and he does not want to buy unless he's guaranteed he can rent it out right away. Our building has rental caps and there is a waiting list. Bret thinks he might be able to use his position in the HOA board to get an exception but it's way way far from a sure thing. Meanwhile he has two showings today. So we hang in.

I'm with you on the importance of a vendor's return policy. I ordered a pair of jeans for my DIL for Christmas last year and got them from the place she requested. I was nervous because the return policy didn't allow your credit card to be credited - you had to order something else from their store to use the credit. Considering my size and age, the likelihood of that happening was nil, but I ordered anyway....

Her jeans didn't fit, and she decided a different size wouldn't work. But I begged the store for a refund, and they finally credited my credit card on a one-time basis. But I hope never to order from them again. I also had to pay for the return.

Fingers crossed 🤞🤞 on the condo showings...

You probably already know this BUT..

PayPal has a create/print your own label feature I use all the time. It almost always ends up being a bit cheaper then if I walked into the PO to pay and ship. Our local UPS store accepts PO dropoffs as well. I print my own, hand it to the really nice people at the UPS store, and off it goes. It's called Paypal ShipStation. I think it's mainly set up to be used by businesses but I've used it personally for ages now.

The PO in our new locations also sucks. Packages literally fall into a black hole going in and out of there. Rude workers, like really rude. Our Amazon packages move along nicely in tracking until hand off to the Huntsville PO and then they stop moving for 2, 3, 4 days sometimes. It's about 6 miles from us.

Hope Bret can work something out and Paul is able to buy the condo. That will be a huge weight off for you. :)

Susan, do everyone a favor and name this site with the poor clothing and bad return policy. Save us from making the same mistake.
