This Lisinopril hack is getting pretty annoying. I get it sometimes at night when I'm trying to sleep. Nearly always when I'm trying to get to sleep. And then other odd times.

I told the doctor about it and she asked me if I wanted to try something else and I kind of took the Devil-You-Know road and told her I'd just as soon stay with this stuff . I sure hope that the cough will go away eventually or abate a little. I hope it was the right choice.

*cough* *cough*

I have that cough!!! Grrrrr...

Just at random times of the day, I'll start coughing. I hate it when it happens at night. It scares the cats off the bed. :(

I don't carry water with me everywhere, and I hate when I start coughing in the car.

I'd never even heard of this before. :(

Count me in ... I got the cough on it after no issues for six months. Doc moved me on to Atacand-HCT and no issues with coughing or BP since.

It is a fairly small percentage of users that get the cough, but it's usually brand dependent. Meaning that if you have it with lisinopril, you may not have it with enalapril. So you may want to ask your doctor to switch to a different ACE-Inhibitor if the cough gets so annoying you can't stand it anymore.

FYI. :)
