My kind of days
Sep. 14th, 2006 08:31 amThe 5 day forecast for Seattle shows that at no time will the temperature get above 69 degrees!!! Hallafuckingluyah!!! It has been a long summer but now it's my time of year. I think I'm going to roll the air conditioner into its winter home this weekend. Sweet.
The only thing gooder would be to have it cold enough for long sleeves. My arms have taken a beating recently. I took gross pictures!

The top left is my left arm - it's one of those blood bruise things I get when I get within 5" of any hard surface. The top right is my right arm - the scab is where I encountered the corner of a cabinet yesterday and I didn't even hit it that hard! The other spot is another of those blood bruise things. The bottom is my inner elbow where the vampire took blood last Friday! It's been healing for a week and still looks disgusting. I remember the skin on my Mom's arms and legs was the same way when she got old - very fragile and always populated with a variety of disgusting wounds. This is why I need long sleeves always. Ugh.
But I have all this unmarred (well only a little marred) inner beauty...
I need to pop over to Sears this morning and get towels and a light blanket for the bed.
The Fujitsu website says that 3 of the 5 pieces of my new toy will be here today. The actual Lifebook is listed as "expected to ship" today. Their very excellent website tells me a at a glance about everything I've ever ordered from them. I've placed 5 orders total and every single one has shipped on or before their "expected to ship" date so I'm very hopeful.
But, now I need to get to work. My work To Do list is getting some hefty meat on it. Last night I agreed to build out a section of a New Zealand website. I'm in a kiwi zone these days.

You probably heard this story of mine, but I'll repeat it anyway.
I went into a walk in clinic all beat up from work and with a strained something or other.
The doctor took one look at all of my bruises and asked if I was being battered. I laughed and told him that I was a professional mover and my job was battering me.
He looked at me like he didn't believe me and then said he would put the info into the folder if I ever needed to prosecute.
I'm glad he was so vigilant, but it really amused me.
