Today and tomorrow the football stadium outside my terrace will be filled to the gills. Today is a college game and tomorrow is a Seahawks game. The next thing on my to do list is to put the air conditioner away for the winter. But... if the noise from today's or tomorrow's game gets so loud that I can't hear the TV, I'll need to close the door. If I close the door, it might get too hot. hmmm You know, I think the A/C item is going to wait until Monday. Why take a chance?

The tracking info on my new little computer says that it is in Seattle! And... it kind of looks a little bit like it might be delivered today! That would be really too good to be true.

The Bissell spot cleaner does a pretty darned good job. I used it on several very old spots and they came right up! On new spots, it will probably be excellent. But the real brilliant move was the carpet I selected. It is really really hard to see spots. You almost have to know where they are. The pattern and the colors do such a good job of camouflage.

My online pharmacy thing shipped whatever it is they are sending and it should be here on Monday. I am convinced that whatever it is they are sending is not the toothpaste I want. I've already decided that I am going to make one call to get it fixed and if that works, great and if not. Screw it.

I have two good work projects for this weekend. The kind of work that really needs uninterrupted time. I cannot ignore incoming emails or the phone when caller id tells me it's a work call. On the weekends, email is very sporadic and the phone is reserved for telemarketers.

Tuesday is a little election-ette. Not many issues or races but each has, apparently, unlimited budget because the automated phone calls, tv ads and crap in the snail mail has reached a surprising and incredibly annoying volume.

Guess I'll get to work! The radio guy just said that the high temperature today will be 64 degrees. Heaven.

Isn't this weather fantastic? I was outside briefly this afternoon, and it was both sunny and cool -- barely warm enough to be out without a jacket. For a time when it's technically still summer, I can't think of any better weather than that.

I'm still looking forward to the fall rain, mind you, but for now -- this certainly works.
