It seems so unfair to cough like this 24/7 and never even get a cigarette. I'm calling the doctor tomorrow. Or buying a pack.

I kind of think of you and me as honorary smokers. I've had a slight cough for a while too, and hear it may be a side effect of acid reflux. And indeed, Pepcid Complete seems to help. I doubt it could hurt.

No desire here to smoke, but I have one of those nicorette inhalers for nicotine emergencies.

I thought of the smoking angle when you first mentioned the cough. It smacks of receiving the retribution without enjoying the sin.
