So my eBay buyer only had one feedback entry. It was a very positive one but still... However, he paid up fast. My auction specified $20 shipping and insurance and that's what he paid. But, then he asked in email if I would ship it fast and he said he'd pay the difference. And I said sure. The fastest option was $38.15. He'll have it in less than 24 hours. So that's what I picked.

I sent him a note telling him and explaining that I did not buy insurance cause I figure what can happen in a day... I was totally vague about how much more he should send me. And I did not send an invoice. Honestly, I figured he'd toss in an extra $10.

He paypalled $20 within minutes of getting my note. How nice is that?! He now has 2 excellent feedback entries.

you can only leave one feedback per transaction - if you have two transactions with the same person, you can still leave a feedback for each transaction, but only one from each user gets counted into a persons total tally (the number that appears next to their name).

I luv ebay. It is not perfect, but it is such an amazing resource to get my hands on obscure things, and cheaply too!

It's also a way to save things from landfill. I found a pristine Mazda Miata ashtray in my garage when, on a whim, I listed it on ebay. Someone in North Carolina paid me $25 for the thing. Both of us were happy...
