Just about ready

I think it's about as hard to pack for a trip when you aren't taking anything as when you are.

Last year I finally figured out that I wear an entirely different set of clothes at Mom's than I do here. There, you have to dress for dinner and even wear nicer clothes than my every day wear for lunch and going about town. Here I pretty much wear jeans and a t-shirt in the Summer and jeans and a sweat shirt in Winter.

Mom's apartment is big and has lots of storage room so I just left my stuff there. It's great not to have to pack anything.

But, I'm over compensating but packing my purse. Books, magazines, IPAQ, phone, batteries. Candy, spare glasses, contact case and juice, comb, nail polish, pen, pencil, paper. Yarn, camera, scarf, gloves. And, maybe a bottle of water and bagel.

I'm doing a load of laundry now and then I need to stuff the dish washer. Manicure at 3. Leave for bus to airport about 8ish.

I think I'm under control.

By this time tomorrow you shall have the complete story of my journey but, wait, there's more and likely the first or second installment of "Life Among the Short Blue Haired People."

I intend for LJ to get me through this... And, as always, when I suffer, I share. I'm just that kind of giving person.
