Wow... that LJ outage was different. At least it wasn't like the olden days when they would go down and you had no way of knowing what was happening, if they were working on it or if your computer had just been frozen out. About 3 or 4 years ago, it used to go down every Sunday morning for a couple of months and there was no status page to check!

I'm glad to have it back. I watched the first half of a Prairie Home Companion. I don't really know why. I long ago fell out of love with the radio show. Wonder what made me think a movie about it would be interesting? It wasn't. My other Netflix is Thank You for Not Smoking. I'm not expecting much but we'll see.

I'm sorry that Sally Fields' friends can't remember to take a pill every day. It's sad when your friends get stupid.

I finally got the contact lens thing solved. 1-800-Contacts contacted the eye doctor's office who told them I was not a patient. I called the doctor's office and they said I had to talk to the assistant and she wouldn't be in until Monday. That was yesterday. Today I finally got the prescription in the mail and faxed it to 1-800-Contacts who within an hour had upgraded my free shipping to free overnight shipping and sent me a note saying that I'd have 'em on Monday.

Onward...

I liked Thank You For Not Smoking. It is very dark humor and I kind of like that. The Death Squad (I think that's what they were called) was my favorite part.

You'll enjoy Thank You For Smoking. As for Sally... the concept of remembering one pill a week being easier than remembering one pill a day... I don't understand the burden or lack there-of. Perhaps I'm too old/not old enough?

I don't know. Have her people call my people. It's not like I have to worry about osteoporosis... I'm a guurrl... not a girl. LOL

For a charter member of the Amalgamated Clueless Workers of America, could you give me a small hint on what is the story in re: Sally Fields and her friends' pills?

I thought the lj status page was always there? I haven't had an lj outage that wasn't related to my living in a censored country in years - not since before I got my paid accout, and that was about 4 years ago now..
*shrug*

What's this Sally field thing?

WTF

Ok I also give up. I guess I missed something here.

Well, at least it felt like a couple of months. (I've had Sundays like that...and so, apparently, did W.C. Fields.)

When you watch Thank You For Smoking, and they show the huge concrete building that supposedly houses the group he works for, think of me (because it's really the Big Government Agency office building that I work in). :-D
