I love the rain. I especially love the kind of rain we are having today - steady downward pouring onto the leaves of the tree that I hate. It's not as good as a tin roof but it's good.
But, it's easy for me. I live downtown - in a section of town with good drainage and little dirt. Starting probably less than a mile from here and stretching out for a couple of hundred miles - this rain that I love is causing some real problems. There is severe and dangerous flooding all over everywhere. Just knowing that kind of kills the buzz, you know.
Plus I have to go out to Redmond this afternoon. It's going to be a bitch to get there. I heard on the news they were encouraging everyone to come early to the Seahawks game tonight to avoid traffic issues. So between regular rush hour, flooded roads and 50,000 game people, coming home should be way fun. I'm planning to spend the bulk of this afternoon in the car.
Yikes! My contacts just arrived. To recap. I got the prescription in the mail on Saturday. I scanned and then emailed same to 1-800-Contacts. Contacts in hand by 8:30 Monday morning. Yikes!
My light went out in the microwave again... I went to the GE website and booked another fix it appointment. When the guy was here to do it last time, he said that they were just coming out with a fix that would stay fixed so when it broke again - and it would - next time they could really fix it. To get to the light bulb he had to remove the entire front of the damn microwave and a piece in the top where it vents out over the stove. Not trivial. Thankgoodness for warranties.
My breakfast burrito was so-so. I think I nuked it too long. I think tomorrow I'll try speed cooking (it's kind of a convection-style thing that this microwave does).
And that is all I know so far today. Subject to change.
