Another day at the home...

This is a partial report as it is nearly time to hit the bar. There are a lot of activities available here that I can pass on, but when the bar opens, I like to be there. Plus the bartender is a hoot and a half and really really nice to my Mom even before she bought the brass rail as a memorial to my father...

I've been thinking all day about estis and his new cable modem because Mom's cable internet service has been out all damn day long! The whole of Charleston was without internet cable service until about 4 p.m. That really sucks. But, I just read where he got his and is happily bounding down the information highway. So are we. Whew.

well it's been almost 8 hrs and no interruption in the cable service yet...geeze another cable horror story to go along with Joy's...of course when I think about it I've lost my cable tv service more times than my phone service...am not sure if the tv and internet service go down together or not...phone worked even when DSL didn't...btw my LJ friends page loads much faster now...must be the cable is better than the DSL at loading it.

A brass rail? What a glorious memorial! I hope my wife and/or daughter has the same idea!

The bar itself is lovely and Mom and her friends really enjoy it. The bartender is a young guy who treats everyone as if they were royalty and they love it. Mom likes to sit at the bar but she and her friends are all very short and the bar stools are pretty high.

So she decided they needed a rail and it would be a perfect tribute to Daddy. It makes me smile every time I see it.
