I thought I saw a flash of light outside. I went back to my knitting.  There it was again. Back to knitting.

BIG flash and then - fairly quickly - LOUD boom.  Betty, who had been keeping my feet warm raced to see if there was something in the other end of the house (like under the bed) that needed her attention right this minute.

We rarely have thunderstorms.  It's actually quite a surprise.  One treat is to hear the TV news reporters report on it.  They will invariably report about the thunder causing damage to trees or the noise form the lightening being startling.  And it never fails to amuse me.

I'm so envious. I never understood people who are scared of thunder and lightning, I love it. I never felt cozier than being inside warm and dry and watching the bad weather.

It's one thing I miss about the East Coast, actual *seasons*.

I'm laughing over here. My sister's cat is as brave as Betty and checks out all the dark out of the way places during such emergencies.

Thunderstorms totally rock.

One treat is to hear the TV news reporters report on it. They will invariably report about the thunder causing damage to trees or the noise form the lightening being startling.
