We got juice!
Nov. 13th, 2006 08:57 amBack home now. And all is fine. What a strange morning.
Also, how interesting to discover how few clocks, etc. that I need to rejigger. The stove, the microwave, the coffee pot. I had to turn the desktop computer back on and I'll need to reset the TiVos (30 sec skip) but, really, not so bad.
I'm still astounded at how easy that GE thing was. Of course, I honestly don't care when they come - it's a warranty covered fix to a feature that is not critical. But, still. Impressively efficient.
Guess now I'll actually get to work!

Date: 2006-11-13 07:42 pm (UTC)We long ago effectively disabled the clocks on our microwaves so we wouldn't have to reset them. We often forget to reset the TiVo "skip" feature, which gets lost not only in power outages but when fresh software gets downloaded, until we're forcibly reminded by inadvertently skipping to the end of the program.
