Catching up...
Jan. 17th, 2007 08:10 amThings are settling down. My list of things to track until done is getting shorter.
The Premera website says my contact lens claim has been completed which means I'll have the check in a few days. My bank accounts - the one I closed and the ones I opened are all functioning nicely (thanks
cpratt for the e*Trade tip - turns out they had my old brokerage account still there and active so adding a bank account to it was pretty simple).
Left on the list are:
- call Sprint close to the 26th and dump extra services
- call man Doctor's office and change appointment... again
And taxes. Seems like the tax stuff is coming in slowly this year but it is only the 16th and we have had a fair number of non-mail days. Patience. I did, however, get out an accordion folder and put it on the desk so stuff that comes in the mail can go right to where in there for safe keeping.
Like my friends in Texas, my brother reports this morning that he's had enough House Arrest By Ice and he's ready to thaw and get back to work. At least down here at sea level in Seattle we're a balmy 39 degrees this morning.
And now it's time for me to get to work. Jake, who is on my lap, is not going to be happy when I get up to move to the other computer. Betty has that spot already this morning. They do not share all that well.
