Wednesday rambles

susandennisMy AVG anti-virus is still kicking my butt on this computer only. It's not Outlook causing the issue - I eliminated that possibility. Now I need to reinstall which I will do later today. Then wait and see if that fixes it. I will say that Grisoft is amazing in their response time. I rebooted this morning and ran their diagnostics which puts together the logs they need into an email - very simple and elegant - and even uses their own SMTP to send it off.
I got an automatic response immediately and instructions of what to do next 30 minutes later. I'd like for the thing to work like it used to and like it still does on my other computer but, heck, if it doesn't, it is sure nice to have good service!!
I don't think there will be much work today. A little here - a little there. I think we may be heading into a slow February. My main project manager is going on vacation for the last two weeks. That will either mean there will be a ton of stuff that will be very confusing since she won't be around to un-confuse it OR it will mean that everything will be dead until she gets back. I'm ok either way, really. I had enough billable hours in January and December to carry me for a while.
My new table comes tomorrow! The freight guy called last night. 1:30-3:30. It was kind of a dejavu when he called cause it's the same outfit that delivered a lot of my furniture two years ago during The Great Remodel. I am so glad that is over. But, I am so glad I did it. I do need to send my decorator a 'I still love all you did' note. And I do. There are at least a half dozen spots in the 1,300 sq. ft. condo that take my breath away in delight every day. And the rest is wonderful, too. All thanks to her.
Ok... I'm hearing a bug calling me... I should change that application's alert sound to a cricket chirp.
