I finally got the damn AVG reinstalled. No other way to uninstall it. I tried everything - in safe mode, outside of safe mode, rebooting a bazillion times.  The only way to get rid of it is to get a solid install.  That was also painful but  I finally did it.  Fucker.  I'm going to give it one more change.  The next time it wants me to reboot, we'll be wiping it out for good and forever. 

I never did hear from the 'I now have no virus protection, plz advise' note I sent with the log.  I'm guessing their response is one that my ISP selected for junk.  Fuckers.

Then after a really quiet day, about 3:30 the phone and email and IM all woke up screaming.  That went on until 6:30.  I'll do the clean up tomorrw. 

I never did get to the grocery store, drug store, library.  That's tomorrow, too.
