Bulk emails and Office 2007
Feb. 12th, 2007 02:58 pmHere are my rules for bulk mailings - if I'm off base, tell me.
- If I request to be included on emails, send me whatever you want.
- If I ask to be excluded, do not send me any more. Further mailings will be trashed and ignored.
- Everyone I know is allowed one unsolicited bulk sending every six months (once a year is better) for the sole purpose of informing of change in email address or the like.
- Anything else I receive that I cannot ascertain the sender and/or specific individuals who received it, is junk/spam and will be trashed and ignored.
And particularly, if you are asking me a favor, if it's not worth your time and trouble to ask me individually then it's no longer worth my time to respond at all even to say no.
You can call me susanhardassdennis.

Date: 2007-02-13 12:52 am (UTC)It reminds me of one of my HUGE pet-peeves: Bulk text-messages. It's like, "Wow. I can't believe you actually took the time to add me to the distribution so I could see the same 'Merry Christmas' you sent to 60 other people... Touching."

Date: 2007-02-13 02:53 am (UTC)I will bulk-ask for things at my work that we need a lot of people to volunteer to do. But I don't even hit up my friends over email, I ask in person, because that, to me, shows that I want their help, specificially.
