So it's wallow in bed and read the fat newspaper day. Now I'm up and showered and have gotten the laundry started and packed up the latest crop of teddy bears.
I used to get three or four done and then take them to my neighbor's and leave them on the doorknob but something one of them said led me to believe that storing them until they delivered wasn't so handy. So I've been kind of stockpiling up here and delivering about once a month or so.
Since I got the new dining table, I had to move the spot where they live when they come off the needles. This morning I looked over and they all kind of looked like they were standing and cheering. It cracks me up. Kind of a 'yeah!!' but a silent one. I always keep two on hand. My original two. But the rest are all now packed in bags and ready for delivery. I love them all but today I really had to fight to keep from holding on to more than just the original two. They are just so loveable. Mary and Jean (my neighbors) take them to a safe house where families in crisis end up. So I know they will be a bright spot in someone's life and that makes it a little easier to say goodbye.

And in other news... I'm not so delighted with Picasa as my image place. It's ok. But it's not great. And it sure seems slow to me. It does seem to be a good client/server organizing combo. Maybe when I get the new machine and get my pictures organized, I'll feel differently.
My scalp thing has really and truly disappeared. But my face is getting worse. The itching is making me nuts. Man Doctor gave me Ketoconazole cream for it and in reading about that, I realized that this face/scalp thing is probably the same thing that has caused me to be so prone to yeast infections all my life and is the same thing that caused those miserable bouts of itchy boobs I had for years. Wild. If you look really closely at my face, you can see red patches but it really looks like I just came in from the cold. Not horrible to look at but really itchy especially around my eyebrows and over the top of my nose. He did say it would take about six weeks and I am now just finishing week 1 so I should not be impatient.
Now it's time for CBS Sunday Morning.
A quick note about flickr...

Date: 2007-02-25 07:23 pm (UTC)Did I not thank you for the coffee suggestion?!! That is so rude of me! You totally nailed it. I was not using nearly enough coffee. I'm still experimenting and haven't gotten it totally nailed but your set me on the road to recovery for sure! Thanks!!
And, while I'm on a gavination as it were, I also have the DS game you recommended on my GameFly queue. Now if I can just get those fools on a speedier shipping cycle...

Date: 2007-02-25 10:51 pm (UTC)You might check with your doctor whether it is okay to use Caladryl Clear on the itchy spots while still treating with the medicated cream. You want to be careful not to get it in your eyes (or so I am told: haven't ever gotten it in my eyes to confirm that, don't plan to do so), but it does ease the itching...for a little while anyway. :P
