The Blonde

susandennisAlthough my new Vista computer is no longer a twinkie, my brother is still calling it The Blonde and referring to it as a 'she'. There are probably many who find that offensive on several levels but not me. I love it.
The latest is that The Blonde is doing well. She passed another day of tests. He pulled the mother board off and put it back on lock-tighting all the screws and tonight she's going to spend the night doing more tests.
Then tomorrow, assuming all goes well, she'll get some nail polish (so I can tell easily and quickly if any screw has moved) and be on her way. I hope my brother is going to send her back via USPS. I think I'll ask him if it's not too much trouble if he would. The shop next to his is a UPS shipping shop and it might be kind of uncomfortable for him to use a competitor. The UPS shop's owner has given him a lot of business and they are good buddies. If he has to pick UPS then I'll wait. It will be ok.
