Almost nearly back to my regular life

We are only probably a couple of days away from non-Vista LJ entries... in case you are wondering.

The latest is that Microsoft Money would not update.  It just would not believe that I was connected to the internet.  I finally gave up and figured that I'd run it on the XP machine, too.  But, for a giggle, I sent the problem in email to Microsoft Support.  This morning I got an email with a list of about 8 IE settings.  My IE had 7 and it was that 8th one that did the trick (Security tab - just above the Custom Level button -  of Internet Options - uncheck Protected Mode).

Updated quick and pretty as you please.  Whew.

My work plate is pretty full for today.  Sometime in the semi-near future, I need to get to the library to pick up my hold books and get to the grocery store to get cat food.  Fortunately, the library will hold my books for another couple of days and there is about that much cat food left.  I love it when stuff synchronizes.

If I'd held out on buying my laptop for a few months it would have had Vista pre-installed. But I would have had to live in the real world!
I bought the official magazine,though.
