Happy Wednesday...

No Vista news.  None.  Can you believe it?  I'm still loving it and trying out new stuff and not really running into too many more issues. 

This is the week - last year - that Mom died.  I've been kind of dreading it for a while thinking it would be really depressing but now that it's here, I keep thinking about her and how horrible this week was for her and how grateful I am that she only had a few horrible, scary days before she was gone.  I do miss her but heckarino... I had her for 57 years and most were good and the last 7 were great.  I cannot complain or even feel sad.

As soon as I finish this entry, it's off to the grocery store and library.  Yeah the cats are out of food, but, even more critically important, I am nearly out of Diet Dr. Pepper!  This problem will be solved today.  Work is hogging more than its share of my hours this week but I think I have it wrestled to the ground for right now.  At least for a little bit.

Off to the store with me while the window is open a crack!

*hugs* Yesterday was the 2 year mark for my Mom - last year I was getting so killed by work it totally snuck up on me and I didn't have time to think about it. I was kind of dreading it this year because I *did* have the time to think about it as it came up. But it came and went with no major meltdowns and I just ended up having a really nice day, which would have definitely pleased Mom to no end.

Yeah, I'm very slow. :) But we're in the home stretch, just a couple more accounts and it'll be done! You should be able to hear the screams of joy all the way on your side of the continent.

It's such a personal thing. But, I have really worked at remembering the good times and how lucky I was to have them instead of wallowing in the missing part. It's not easy but it does help me. Here's hoping for a grateful November for you.

Thanks for the memory. My Mom, in the nursing home, has improved a lot. My Dad, at home, has too. I hold out some hope for myself (ha!)

My Mom's birthday is March 27...will be the first time that I haven't spent it with her I don't know when...yep, I think March is the official "Miss Mom" month. : /
