I am a late to the party Sudoku-er.  So I'm sure this has been discovered by hords before me.  But...  This happens to me a lot. I'll be working a puzzle and get totally stuck.  Dead in the water.  Can't see another entry.  Down to wild-ass guess.  And I walk away.

Come back later and it takes me under 10 seconds to see an obvious fill-in.  It happens over and over and over again!

One of the Vista screen widgets is a very nice Sudoku puzzler.  I'm addicted and it's honstely stealing some quality Spider Solitaire time.

I used to get blocked like that when programming. I'd have a bug I couldn't figure out, and I'd work on it and work on it, then drive home in disgust. Halfway home I'd realize what it was and go back to work. So I learned to take a break when I ran into a wall. I go for a walk, stare out the window, surf the internet. Five minutes later, after all the models and structures I'd built in my head had fallen out of the air, I'd go back to debugging and question all my assumptions and the answer would often just pop up. What a strange thing is the human mind. :)
