Tia sent back a note to come on over so I did.   She was busy but the receptionist was who I needed.  I signed and initialed the form in a million places and paid up through the end of June.

Next.  I meet with a trainer - in my case Jerome.   She told had a list of available times for various trainers.  The first available time was this afternoon and then there was one tomorrow with another trainer.  So I asked her who was the best trainer for a fat old lady who has moved in several years.  And she said Jerome who's next available is tomorrow at 3:30.

I sent Tia back an email and told her to prep him.  He's got his work cut out for him.  I got winded just waking back - from there to here.  I hope it's not too late to fix that!

I love the encouragement from my LJ friends!  What a fun surprise.  And, you know, the only way you will miss every single detail of the adventure is if you fail to tune in here....

I feel like I have 24 hours before my sloth days end.  It's kind of like pigging out before your first Weight Watchers meeting.

Tonight is the first televised game of the Mariner season.  Spring training game with the Giants.  Should be fun.

I ran into neighbors on the way over.  They left the building last night with the fire alarm so they had the poop.  Someone on this floor had a fire in the kitchen because they left something on the stove with the stove on.  At 2 fucking 30 in the morning on a week night????  It wasn't me.

Nah, not too late to fix. :) Too late to fix = dead.

If you've never read her, I'd recommend Marn's journal. Similar situation, never much exercised (though she does vigorously garden a lot), but has made a nice transformation in her 50s. Plus she's just plain hysterical to read.

Tonight would be a good time to order in a pizza (or three).

I signed up last July, and it was definitely the right thing to do to get fixed up for the next round of aging. There was just one fly in the ointment: my trainer person pushed perhaps a little too hard, though she was certainly quite expert. I'll be going back after a break mandated while my doc does some tests. Good luck! I really really enjoyed the overall results, look forward to cranking it back up.

Enjoy.

Yay you on going to the gym. I walked my mom's dog last night. For 15 minutes and I was tired. Pitiful. My co-workers and I are doing a fake Biggest Loser thing because we're all feeling fat (or in my case I'm fat, not just feeling fat!)

Yay for you! I am presently in a bit of a temporary stagnation, so you're inspiring me, but I have to say when I've had a physical therapist for my knees, I've loved the personal attention, so I know with the right personal trainer, you can accomplish great things!!!

Also, I used to stick these goofy "You Go Girl" stickers on my calendar when I exercised and buy myself a treat after so many. If I can find them again, I'll ask for your snail mail address and send some your way.

I reluctantly joined a gym a few years back and somehow got to like it and now feel bad when I miss going. I also look at it as a good time to listen to my favourite music on the MP3 player. Hope you find something you like about it too and I'm betting you're not really all that old or fat!

Well if you're going to be picky, I'd say 58 is really on the young side of old, 90 is what I'd call properly old!
