Yeah, it's been big news here for our "home boy". I've been meaning to road trip down to Plains just for fun. I've heard that when he's home to teach his Sunday School class there's usually a waiting line. There's also the Carter Presidential Center here in hotlanta which is pretty impressive too.
The local channels are doing pretty good coverage of the Awards Ceremony, and they did a special profile show of Carter. They will cover the continuing celebrations in Norway. Tomorrow includes a concert featuring Willie Nelson and Santana (who I just mentioned in my journal). Cool stuff. Probably tons of stuff on the web covering this, but for local Atlanta flavor check out here (http://www.wsbtv.com).
I just somehow missed the whole thing when it was announced. I liked him when he was president but I have really come to admire him a lot more recently. Of course, we don't get a steady diet here on the west coast. They don't really consider the Southeast as a real anything. It's pretty funny and kind of sad.
