A couple of years ago I put this fun little program on Mom's computer. It puts any number of weather icons in the system tray. She can tell at a glance when the sun is out or it's raining in any one of the seven places she likes to keep tabs on. And when she mouses over one of the locations she gets the current temperature.
This makes her what, in elementary school, we called a Big Fat KnowItAll.
I started it by telling her this morning that there was snow coming down about 45 minutes from here and I sure wish we would get it here. She sent a note back saying it was already too cold there and anyone who wished for snow was nuts. I retorted that anyone who chose to live in that hot humid place she called home was nuts.
Just now I got a note from her saying that at this very moment the temperature in Seattle and Charleston was exactly the same. Too warm for me and too cold for her. Good thing we don't have to live with each other!!
(The weather program, for those who are interested is Wetsock by RoboMagic.)
And... I'd like to introduce my latest user pic... I scarfed it off the website of a friend... hope she doesn't mind.
