Not a bad day...
Apr. 6th, 2007 05:59 pmWork was containable and I ended the day nearly caught up. I have one thing left over and I can do it this weekend or Monday - either way. Nice.
The work bugs came in sporatically so in between I made my new gym bag!
There's a place to hook my earphones, a change purse, and two additional pickets for tissues, chapstick, a pen, some cards to make notes on and oh and also a hooky thing to hang my keys on and it's bright and pretty. I can hang it off the arm of the treadmill and everything will be quite handy. I'm pleased with it. I'll test tomorrow.

I had to reboot today and when I came back up, all of a sudden, Outlook wanted to know my password every single fucking time it went for mail. On all three accounts. That got old ... oh, immediately. I finally found a registry thing to tweak and it settle down but it was really stressful there for a bit.

I would like a Citi Master Card and have been trying to apply online. But every time, instead of getting 'your application has been accepted!' I get 'they system has timed out, please try again.' Nice. I called and they are mailing me an application. I could apply on the phone but their phone people are more annoying than average. I had occasion today to look at my virus vault that my (PAID FOR version of - please no lectures on using free software) AVG keeps. There is a cookie from Citi that is hanging in the vault as infected. I sent a note to AVG technical support requesting advice. No answer yet.
I could turn AVG off and then do the application. I can't believe Citi would have anything that would infect my computer but it's not critical - it's a back up credit card that I don't really need so why chance it?

When I reboot I get the Quick Time blue Q in my task bar. I do not want it there. I don't really want it on my computer. Curiously, it does not appear to be on my computer. It's not in any program list. Turns up on no searches and nowhere else I can find. Except when I reboot and it turns up on the task bar. It's a mystery...

I got a letter from the estate bitch today - it was to me, my brother and sister. It contained a check for $28.72 - wooohooo! - but the real news is the words "Within the next 2 weeks, you will be receiving the final closing documents for the estate."
I'll believe it when I see it but this is better than the usual 'soon.'

The baseball game was not on TV. It is on radio - between snow delays. I listened on the radio. At 6 p.m. they were 5 hours into the game, 1 out away from a complete game. Cleveland was ahead 4-0 and the Mariners had the bases loaded. I gave up listening to watch news on TV. I'm sure the Mariners lost if they started playing again.

Date: 2007-04-07 01:46 am (UTC)The chair webbing looking stuff is really straping! Like tote bag straps. My fabric store had it in 1" widths in a bunch of different fun colors.
