Jake's new favorite place

It's not that he loves my Seattle calendar or that he's saying 'good job' on the stars you can see under his paws.... Nope, he's wallowing in the heat blowing off the computer...   It's his latest favorite place.

I think his old bones just love the heat.  He was about six weeks old when I adopted him in the Spring of 1989. 

I can't believe he's still hanging on.  He sometimes moves like his joints hurt and while he's rarely in a hurry, he does have that poop and run thing that some cats have.  He started it about 2 years ago.  His litter box is at one end of the house and when he drops a good one, he breaks into a run that is worth of a race track.  Cracks me up every time. 

He always seems like he's thinking deep thoughts.

Spike the same age. Yesterday I was freaking out because I couldn't find her. Not upstairs and not downstairs. The the blanket moved. She was still curled up in and under the blanket five hours after i tucked her in there at lunch. Silly kitty was warm and loving it!
