Work yet to do
Apr. 7th, 2007 04:29 pmI started going to the gym to get some stamina back. I could, when energy permitted, get into the car and drive to a grocery store and push a cart around but about half way through I'd always feel like I needed to sit down and put my feet up for an hour or so.
Well, it's working. I'm getting some back. Actually, a lot for only 3 weeks work. I got into the car and went to two grocery stores and a drug store and radio shack. And then I hit the wall but that's about four times more than I could have done three weeks ago. I'm gratified.

I got a refurbished Creative Zen V Plus MP3 player last week. I'm not unhappy with my little $30 Apacer but I just needed/wanted more - like bookmarks for book reading and a better user interface. I'm really happy with it. It does just what I wanted it to plus more.
This morning I remembered the e-audio books from the library. They won't work on the Apacer but the Zen is one of the approved devices. So I downloaded it - a painless 5 minute process to download and transfer the whole damn book. I listen to the first three chapters while I was out running errands. Way very way ultra way cool.

Now I think I'll go put my feet up for a bit.

Date: 2007-04-08 12:16 am (UTC)I'm wondering where you found the refurbished MP3 player. I'd like to find exactly the same thing, and save some money while I'm doing it.
Oh, and you said a while back that you were going to be purchasing new speakers for your computer. Any luck on that quest? (If that's an old topic, please forgive... I was traveling and missed more than a week's worth of stuff.)
Thanks!

Date: 2007-04-08 01:02 am (UTC)Here are their current MP3 players. I got the refurbished one of these. It came with everything - earplugs, another plug that I don't know what it's for, the USB cable, manual and software. (And, I ordered it on Tuesday and got it on Friday.)
For speakers, I ended up buying one that just hangs from the Dell monitor that I got (so I could have two). It's fine by me.
