Thank you Bud Selig
Apr. 8th, 2007 09:33 amDue to the fact that the baseball commissioner cannot grasp the idiocy of scheduling games in snow country in April, I have the day free. The game postponed from Friday to yesterday morphed into no games yesterday and two today and both of them have been canceled on account of snow. There are two games scheduled for tomorrow but already my math says they stand no chance of catching up even if they snow does clear. As
rsc so neatly explained it here, there are only about a bazillion different options that anyone with half a brain could have figured out when making up the schedule.
But... mine is not to question why... Mine is to get my shoes on an hit the street.
I'm also compelled by the book I am reauding... (what is the word for reading/listening to?). It may be a short lived passion but this audio book thing is really doing it for me. I love reading and knitting (which I have done with analog books by holding the book open with my knee but it is not satisfactory) and last night before I went to sleep, I listened to a chapter while I played mindless computer solitaire.
The sun is out which is not my idea of a good time outdoors BUT there are clouds and it's only supposed to get up to 61 degrees so I think it will be comfortable enough.
I think I'll walk up to the bus stop and catch a bus to the other end of the free bus zone and walk home from there. Fortunately, nearly every option that isn't flat is uphill from here so walking home is a sure - uphill free bet.
I've had my shower, I've had my breakfast. I think I'm off.
