Ok, so I have made some progress but clearly, not nearly enough - not by a long shot. I took the bus to the other edge of downtown and then got out and started walking. It was a very different walk than the treadmill cause it was stop and go and not as fast but 10 times more tiring. According to the Goodle pedometer map, I walked a total of 1.5 miles. I can't remember how many miles 30 minutes on the treadmill is but I'm a lot more exhausted than whatever it is.
I had to stop and rest once and I would have stopped a second time but there was no handy place to sit for a bit.
I remember Jerome said 21 days to make it a habit and 6 weeks to see results. I'm thinking it's going to take more than 6 weeks. Whew.
I gave myself a star - I earned it fair and square!

And, you are not dead, so that is a good thing!! At least that is how I feel when I make myself take a walk.
