I saw a break in the work action this morning and I grabbed it to go get cat food and litter and hit the Grocery Outlet again.  I'm sure this has occurred to many a cat owner but...  I have no more than 20 pounds total of cat in this house and yet between the litter and the canned food and the dry food, I probably tote 80 pounds of cat accessories in and out of here every week.  There seems to be little balance in that.  I'd ask Jake and Betty but they are napping.

I lost my mind in the Grocery Outlet and the one that I picked up instead thought I had a bazillion cubic foot freezer at home.  I had to take the ice maker collecter thingie out to use the top shelf to get it all in.  There is some serious eatin' in my future. 

Oh and that great shrimp thing I had the other night that was so delicious?  $.99!!! 

And I stopped at the library and dropped off some stuff and picked up some books on CD that I had on hold.  I'm good on audio reading for a while now. 

The Mariners play here tonight.  So far, of the 10 games on the schedule so far this year, 4 have been snowed out and 1 has been rained out.  Wonder what peril looms tonight?  But since we've lost 2 and won 3, we're over 500 2 weeks in and that hasn't happened in several years so it's not all bad!

My buddy, Tyler, got me out of an ugly code mess earlier this morning so I promised him I'd do his more boring bugs this afternoon.  I'd better get to it.

I was thinking about you last night when I saw the Mariners had gotten rained out. My brother couldn't quite figure out why I am watching ESPN and going, "Oh, nooooooooooooononononono!"

Isn't it funny how LJ kind of embeds little things like that from your friends list? All of a sudden you are paying attention to stuff you never knew about before. I do it constantly and it never fails to crack me up.

I thought it was pretty strange that they waited as long as they did to call the game -- it was obvious from about 2:00 ET on that there was no way they were going to be able to play.

Ironically, it stopped raining sometime between 7:00 and 8:00, so they probably could have played, but I guess the whole point of scheduling the game in the afternoon was so that the Mariners could get home at a reasonable hour.

By the way, remember the fun you had last year with the Patriots Day game that started at 8:00 AM your time? Well, this year they moved the Marathon up two hours, so, logically enough, they moved the time of the baseball game up one hour -- 10:00 AM local time. And who are the opponents? The Angels, whose fans get to tune in at 7:00 AM if they want to watch/listen to the game.

Of course, it's supposed to rain Monday morning.

I have this vision of Texans making all kinds of arrangements to get up early or to somewhere to watch or listen to the game by 7 freakin' a.m. only to find it rained out. Thanks for mentioning it. I forgot to be grateful it wasn't us again.
