When I was little I was a big fan of grilled cheese but Mom liked to mix it up sometimes and she'd make grilled peanut butter.  I just made a grilled peanut butter sandwich totally worthy of her culinary skills.  Yummaruma!!

Two blogs I visit regularly tickled me today with kid pictures - yeah, me!

Jeff is American living in Japan with his wife and son and, gratefully, his camera which he is not afraid to use.  He's had some great cherry blossom shots recently but today his photographic tale of his son's new bbq set really captured me.

Matthew can often be hilarious.  And often thoughtful.  This entry has a great couple of pictures - father's and sons

As someone who never ever wanted children and, so, gratefully never had any, I am kind of fascinated by how children mark the calendar for you.  I shocks me - still - when I stop to think that I am easily old enough to have grandchildren that are older than babies.

And, finally, if you will please, send comforting thoughts to my friend,  [livejournal.com profile] teasdale.  Her beloved and wonderful companion and feline friend, Kiefer went on to kitty heaven.  I know Jake will follow soon so he's getting some extra chin rubs today.

Thank you, Susan. Your comment yesterday touched me. I had no idea that Kiefer had become such a character in my journal. But then, I suppose that had to come through because he was so special. I feel a little bad now because I know that I didn't write about him as much since Zoe came to live with us. She kind of took over with that kitten magic.

He's in a happy place now. No more suffering. And he was loved right up until the very end. I did all that I could. Now I just have to find a place to put the memories.

Extra pats to Jake and Betty. :)
