I got up early early to get to the gym and home in time for a 7 a.m. launch of some tricky pages. That was followed by an 8 a.m. launch of a whole different set of tricky pages and then about the time I kind of got a little caught up, the washer/dryer guys came - a full hour early. They were very nice.
We did run into one kink that I'm almost nearly glad I didn't know about. The washer/dryer I had (the one that came with the condo) was one unit. One electrical plug. The new set is two units - two plugs. There is only one outlet in the closet where it lives. Had I realized this I would have had to figure out how to get the damn thing out of the closet. Schedule an electrician to come put in an outlet and then schedule the install. Head.Ache. As it is, there is an outlet that is hidden by the litter box chest and I just ran an extension cord to it and hid it in the carpet. It's fine.
And the new washing machine and dryer are truly beautiful. It came with a sample of the HE laundry soap so, of course, I did an immediate load of laundry. The washer is wild to watch. Both are so quiet that it's almost creepy. But delightful.
I realized about lunchtime that between the Mariners and the MotorCross, getting out to the grocery store and library - both of which were on my list of things to do - were not going to be easy this weekend. So I stole an hour and did a fast trip. Of course, the main reason for going? HE laundry soap? Forgot it. Phuck.
And then it was non stop all afternoon. Really non stop. And I have at least a full day of work tomorrow and maybe Sunday. Monday and Tuesday and the first part of Wednesday are going to be a little messy but after that, it should let up for a week or so.
And that's where I've been today.
