A Very Good Day. I kicked it up one notch. 30 minutes at 2.8! And it was fine. I'm pretty sure 2.8 is my new speed until I go to 2.9.  I did the exercises - all of them.  And then, because I said I would, I went to try the other recumbent bicycle.  It was occupido so I blew it off.  The gym was pretty crowded today.  Weird cause Sundays are usually pretty quiet there.  But today the two rooms I see (the other two are upstairs) were pretty populated.  And some woman was pedaling away while she worked her way through a stack of magazines.

I took it as a sign that the bicycle ain't for me.

I always thought it was the spandex and the helmets and the ass killing seats with the wind in my eyes that were the bad parts of cycling.  Turns out I hate the actual pedaling part, too!  Maybe one day I'll try again but for now.  Probably not.

Of all the stuff I now take (medicines), everything is covered 100% by my insurance except for one of my blood pressure medicines.  And that puppy costs me $100 every three months.  (The generic version - which would be free - is the one that gave me that horrible cough.)

So, I've ordered a blood pressure checker (thanks, LJ peops for the great info) and I'm going to get it calibrated and then I'm going to watch it for a week and then I'm going to cut back on on the expensive drug and see what happens.  If cutting back works, then I'll shoot for cutting out.

That's my plan.  Meanwhile today, I'm basking in the glow of a nearly a whole month o' stars... Check it out!!

I could go on and on about bike saddles, finding one that fits is hard and using one that doesn't is horrid.

You might have to be somewhat liberal with the stars. "Ok, Jeff Weaver, you tied your own shoes. You get a star."

No, that's the limit of his talents. He does a really nice double loop though!
