I do love Woot.  But I'm going to have to give them up.  They only use Federal Express and Federal Express can't get stuff to me.  Their website says that I was not home yesterday which of course is not correct and my telephone which logs calls says they didn't even try.  Their customer service says they will try again today.  I'm not holding my breath.

I just sent a note to Woot telling them why I won't be back.  And I sent a note to Federal Express telling them that while none of their competitors ever seem to have issues with deliveries here, they always do and it's really very frustrating.  I no longer order from places that use Federal Express with the exception of Woot and now I'm going to have to give them up, too.  Oh well.

You know the missing bees that everyone's all in a twitter about?  Well, I found them.  They are hanging out on a building just outside Seahawks stadium.  Someone had even erected a Watch Out sign which fell down but the bees were still there clinging to the side of the building... I do love the sign. So Seattle. Caution Bee Nest Stay Away. Since it's Seattle, I'm guessing that the order was for the bee protection. On the east coast (certainly in New Hampshire), they would give you the information "Caution Bee Nest" but leave it up to you to make the choice you want. I'm getting crabbier and crabbier about people telling me what to do because it's clear I am not able to think for myself.

And, along those same lines, while I've been outside walking, when I'm at a crosswalk waiting for traffic, I've been watching who's wearing seat belts and who's not.  Lemme just say that the Click it and Ticket it people are missing a huge revenue stream.  This morning alone, way more than half the people who drove by me were NOT wearing a seat belt.  Their shoulder harnesses were hanging limply.  Scafflaws!!

I have now, except for the hour of walking, fucked away this whole morning just doing this and that.  I think maybe now I'll fuck away the whole afternoon watching TV and knitting teddy bears.  I was expecting work to come in but it hasn't so...

Welcome to my world. :)

Sucks about FedEx. I can't remember the last time I ordered something where they shipped it FedEx - UPS seems to be the shipper of choice for the places I shop. Of course, my brother gets a book or something from Amazon about once a week, and for little while it seemed to be every other day - I finally told the UPS guy that it's my brother w/the shopping problem, not me...

Just so you don't feel lonely, Fed Ex can't get stuff to us either. We had to stop ordering from any place that has only Fed Ex shipping long ago. Last time I had to fuss with them, the driver ended up calling me to tell me my address does not exist. I can't help but wonder where I've been living all these years...

Apparently this is a common thing with Fed-Ex. I no longer allow things to be shipped to me by Fed-Ex, and if someone buys something from me on eBay I charge an "annoyance fee" if they say they want Fed-Ex and nothing else will do for them.

As for the bees, I also find the difference interesting. In the Midwest, our signs would use the correct term "bee hive" instead of "bee nest".
