Browser Trickster
Dec. 19th, 2002 05:18 pmDoncha just hate it when your browser plays tricks on you? Or does that just happen to me? I use IE6. Yesterday or the day before my home machine started doing funny stuff. Some web pages - not all, and not LJ - but some web pages were displaying the worlds teensy weensy font size. I think I didn't notice it at first until I happened on my own page and they were teensy weensy letters, too! They are the right size at work. Microscopic at home.
I tried everything. I screwed with the display fonts and it didn't fix it. I messed with the resolution. That wasn't it. I went to the Microsoft Knowledge Base but the print was too small to even see the results!
And then the Duh... In IE there's a 'feechur' I always forget about. View>Text Size. Some prankster - Betty?? Jake??? - had set that sucker to 'smallest'. And, no shit - when they say smallest, they mean smallest. Fixed now and it will be a while until I get caught by that trick again.
