We are now the proud owners and users of The Furminator...

It arrived today and so we gave it a trial run.  Betty now has a Mini Me...  (The chapstick is for perspective).

Yes, I know there are people who spin yarn out of pet fur. I am not one of those people but it does look like it would take about 2 Furminations to get enough yarn for a teddy bear!

We once took Piruli in to have his teeth done. While he was under anesthetic, we had the vets comb out his extra fur.

When we picked him up, he was half his regular fluffy size. They said that they had filled two trash bags full of his fur in one afternoon.

And then stopped because of time constraints, not because they were finished.

Those first two days he had a look on his face of someone who had been drugged and could feel every inch of skin on his body had been tugged on. So pissed.

My Poulsbo sister is one of those. Her favorite story is spinning the sheddings of a big dog name Moe. Yup, she made a Moe-hair scarf.

Been using something like that on Domino & Pumpkin. Amazing how fine the undercoat fur it on both of them.

It's time to go home from work.

On first glance, the Furminator looked like something completely different. (My mind's in the gutter.)

I don't have a furminator, but here is some pictures of the fur I get from Kissy when she 'blows her coat.'

So what's your response to the guy who said it's overpriced, just part of a hair trimmer? Is it going to help my poor Bullet, who had to get shaved because he had so many knots in his fur?

So the kitties actually like it? I'm gathering it works better than the typical combs and brushes. Bullet has thick fur that picks up everything in sight.

I think I posted about my furminator a couple of months ago. It really is a great tool and was recommended to me by a groomer.

Some people have said they were pricey, but IMHO, they are worth it. They are a great tool.
