Am I the only one who knows this?

I really like good rice.  Rice maker rice.  I have a great rice maker and it makes great rice.  BUT it takes an hour.  So a while back, I made the max and then put the leftovers into single serving glass dishes.  And I stuck them in the freezer. 

When time to eat... I dribble a little water and loosely cover and nuke - about 2-3 minutes until it steams.  And that left over, frozen then nuked rice is absolutely as delicious as when it first comes out of the cooker.

Tonight I had frozen breaded shrimp which came out perfectly in my new Infrawave toaster oven and frozen nuked rice with seaweed.  Yum.  Seriously.  Yum.  And fast and easy.

What kind of rice do you put in it?

I useregular white rice - I can't remember the brand. Here's the cooker I have:

It will also cook other kinds of rice but I've never tried anything but white.

Cool - do you use rice that you have to wash?

I honestly don't know. I don't wash it. I put it into the cooker. I put in the water. I hit 'cook'. The rice I usually get it generic Asian. I don't remember the brands, but I kind of grab whatever looks like regular white rice.
