Am I the only one who knows this?
Jun. 19th, 2007 06:01 pmI really like good rice. Rice maker rice. I have a great rice maker and it makes great rice. BUT it takes an hour. So a while back, I made the max and then put the leftovers into single serving glass dishes. And I stuck them in the freezer.
When time to eat... I dribble a little water and loosely cover and nuke - about 2-3 minutes until it steams. And that left over, frozen then nuked rice is absolutely as delicious as when it first comes out of the cooker.
Tonight I had frozen breaded shrimp which came out perfectly in my new Infrawave toaster oven and frozen nuked rice with seaweed. Yum. Seriously. Yum. And fast and easy.

It will also cook other kinds of rice but I've never tried anything but white.
