There's a Seahawks game in my stadium so the football rats are out early... They don't let motor homes spend the night. They don't let them into the parking lot until 6 a.m. but there is always a short line of them waiting at 6 a.m. And then there's the tent people - they erect party tents by their cars. Today there are a whole lot of red hats with white fur trim on the revelers.

I think this is it for big games in the stadium until mid-Summer when there will be a huge soccer game there. As a baseball fan, it's hard for me to quite 'get' building this huge new stadium for 7-8 games a year. But, it's done wonders for my property value so what the heck!

I think my grocery strategy is going to be to wait until the game starts, and then go. Or not. I still have two logs.

Do people bring their motor homes because they have come from out of town, or to have somewhere to party?

What a great question and I have no idea what the answer is. There are generally about 25 or so at every game. They could well be the same 25 or so. There are more tents today than normal but, it seems, fewer cars. It's an odd thing to watch... I feel sometimes like I've been dropped in from another culture and not given the rules.

The motor home thing is popular at NASCAR races, too. I think a lot of them do it to have get togethers with other motor home enthusiasts and lots of grilling and partying goes on.

I myself am a hotel person. My idea of camping is staying at a holiday inn. I love a nice hotel. But as far as the motor home people, to each his own.

folks go to the games from all over and those with motorhomes and the money to feed them bring them... I think they should be allowed to stay overnight--charge them a fee for overnighting and let them stay... They're spending a lot of money to support their team so they shouldn't be penalized for bringing their motorhome... Personally, I think they should have spent the money replacing the viaduct instead of the kingdome... what's wrong with using the huge stadium that is already in the city at the UW? excessive consumption I think... And while I'm at it... why a new baseball stadium right downtown where there's already too much congestion? nuff said

I agree on the overnight thing. I don't know why they don't let them. The lot is never full at night.
