Out of sync

susandennisI'm not in step with the rest of the world today but it's going to be like that this week and next and it's ok - a fair trade.
My Mom has gone to my brother's for Christmas. It's a four hour drive (Jacksonville, FL from Charleston, SC). She has her cellphone and, knows how to use it, I think. I think the chances of her getting lost are pretty good. Hopefully she'll be able to call my brother when she does. I think I'm not going to worry about it.
But, it was kind of strange to not have any email from her this morning.
This week is going to be kind of a waste at work, I think. I have a couple of projects to do - really small ones - but not much else.
I'm very much a rut person - I get into a rut and I like it there and I don't like anything changing my rut. Christmas changes my rut. But, it will all be over in a couple of weeks - I think I can stand it.
