TV problem solved!

Yep, Video Only was the place to go.  And it turned out to be easy peasy.  I got a Toshiba.  I'm sure I could have found it cheaper but I'm not sure I could have found it easier.  The sales guy was nice and pretty on top of it and gave me free home delivery (aka Free Shipping!).  For $20 they will haul out my old POS.  And they will hook up the Tivos, etc. 

And they will do that tomorrow!  I actually kind of think I could have talked them into doing it today but there's no ballgame today and I can stand one more day of fuzzy TV with rolling tops of heads. 

I realized on the way home, that really, it's simply a matter of unplugging from the old TV and pugging right into the respective holes on the new one which match up perfectly.  I don't have to touch the set up of everything at all!  doh. 

Whew! Now I need to not spend money for a while.  I feel like I've been dumping it over the terrace railing at an alarming speed recently!

Probably be good for me to get to work right now and earn some more!

Am I right in assuming "POS" stands for "Piece Of Shit"? Where I work, POS stands for "point of service" and is the official title of the person at each PCC store that I am in contact with most often. Now I'm going to start thinking of them all as Pieces Of Shit!

Oh yes! Oh dear. Now I have ruined a whole department of people. Sigh.

I do remember when I worked in a bookshop, they called the cash register the 'POS' (for point of sale) and as it was a dog slow, no memory, 600 year old computer, I could identify immediately.

Please tell your POS's that I'm sorry. But now I do have a great giggle going on here. You are as cute as Shobhit and his titties! (yeah, I'm really 7.)

When I find what I want and get good service I just go ahead and buy it. When you factor in your time, it works out in the long run.

If it is just right, why waste your time?

I bet you will really like the new tv. I like ours. We had a Phillips first and it really was a POS.

Now Susan, if you are going to dump money over the balcony you need to give a little more notice so we can prevent it from littering the ground. ;-)

Great to hear about Video Only. Just remebmer the Tracfone will save you in the bills and in headaches in the long run.

And you were so right about Tracfone... I'm not into that part of the process where I'm getting pissed that I did not do this last year! It's a great service and a great phone.
