Ok, so now I'm getting stressed about whether or not I have the right cables and if not, where I am going to get some quickly in late afternoon traffic.  GRRRRRR.

I think I'm ok, but until the new TV gets hooked up, I'm not going to breathe easy.  Oh, wait, I can at least hook up some of it, probably until I can get correct cables.  Ok, breathe. 

I'm caught up on work for the moment which is why I'm free to stress about stupid stuff.  My boss has a ton of work for me to do that he actually promised the client we would have done by yesterday, today at the latest.  BUT, I can't do squat until he gets me the goods.  I need words and pictures and movies to make web pages. 

So I stress about cables.

My three TiVos use Red/Yellow/White cables - I need three of them.  My new TV has 2 of those and two Blue/Green/Red but I think I only have one thing that can use Blue/Green/Red and that's the digital cable box.  And then I don't know if audio is separate and I don't have anything to connect the audio, I don't think. 

Clearly, I have only the most tenuous grasp of this... 

As long as I can get the ballgame on TV tonight and maybe the news, and a clear understandable list of what cables I need and where to stick 'em when I get 'em tomorrow, then I think I'm cool.  I think I need to go worry about something else.

Roomba needs cleaning out.  That will be a good chore to do next.

Maybe the installer guy will have extra cables in his bag o' tools? If I were a TV installer, I would have extra cables and other doodads.

Actually, I think most of them make a point of NOT carrying or supplying extra cables. (It would not be worth the hassle to them - pricing, selling, having the right kind, etc.) The sales guy did tell me that I would be responsible for any cables needed.

Well, that just seems backwards to me, but what do I know? I'm not really a TV installer guy.

Don't worry about it. I'm sure your Tivos will keep recording and you'll probably be connected to at least one of those. If you don't have full connectivity until tomorrow it won't actually cause any real problems... will it?

You are exactly correct. The TiVos will all keep TiVoing. In fact, I should, right now, ensure all of them are set up for whatever needs recording tonight. And, at least, it's not a busy TV season!

Then, for tonight, all I need is one of them for the ballgame and maybe another one for the news. Although I could watch either or both 'live' - that would be different but I know it can be done :)

Just shows you how cushy my life is that this is all I have to worry about today ... geesh.
