This morning I woke up and Betty was right there by my face.  She stretched out next to me and under my arm (in case I needed to stroke her back) and we went back to sleep just like that for about an hour.  I woke up wallowing in both my wonderful new mattress and my silky soft kitty.  I'm not sure there is a better way to start the day.

The Citi mortgage site has an email form and I clicked on it today to ask about short paying my mortgage since they now have my two credit card payments.  The form is, of course, unnecessarily convoluted and you have to fill in 579 different boxes all of which are starred as required...  then you get to the box labeled 'enter your question'.  So you enter your question and at the end you put a ?.  And then hit 'send'. 

The page refreshes with a note indicating you fucked up and the place you fucked up is marked in red.  I scroll down to discover all of my information is still there except the question and a nice little note saying that among the punctuation marks not allowed is '?'.

Some developers have such a sense of chuckles.

I discovered last night that of the four inputs I'm using on my TV, the one with the fancy component cables is giving me the worst picture.  I have the regular red/yellow/white for two of the inputs, coax for one and those blue/red/green fancy cables for the fourth.  Last night I thought that ballgame picture looked really pixelated.  So I decided to check it on one of the other inputs.  Sure enough, the picture was perfect on all but that one.

That one is the fancy cables with the digital cable box.  Hmmmmm  Maybe I need to plug and re-plug.  Maybe it's the cable box.  Maybe I should just ditch that cable box - I'd miss Adventures in Doggie Daycare but I can live with only 100 channels, I think.  I need to fiddle and think about this.

jimcarson has me cooking!!  I was just at the store and got the stuff for his Rosemary and Walnut Pasta.  We'll see exactly how yummy it is this evening for dinner.

I've had the air conditioning on all morning and this room is now pretty darned comfortable and the sun has gone over the building so I think I can turn it off, and lift the shades.  Then I'm going to go down and get the mail and then come back up and do the work work that is calling my name.

Hey, thanks for posting the followup on your cooking.
* forget the rosemary -- would you use some other spice (oregano? basil?) or leave it just anchovy, garlic and walnuts?
* double the anchovies -- totally agree; some people have issues with the canned, whole fishies.
* use a nutty oil (sesame maybe) -- this would be an interesting choice.

I probably would just forget the herb. I'm just lazy.

I slapped the leftover achovies into the freezer so I may give the susandennis variation this week. I'm pretty sure it will become a staple around here.
