My current carbon footprint is huge. And I don't care. I don't drive an SUV. Hell, I rarely drive anything. I have turned on the heat in this condo twice in 15 years and kept it on for a maximum of 1 hour. I have energy efficient appliances. I recycle. But, right now I'm sucking out more than my share and I don't care.
I kept my wonderful magical air conditioner on all night last night and it was heaven. This morning I woke up to a cool house. And it remains cool at quarter to one in the afternoon. And I love it.
My new TiVo is due in today but we have a new or sub UPS guy who's kind of got a tenuous grasp on the picture. And while the UPS website says it got to Seattle last night, it does not say 'out for delivery' today. So who knows?
My little neighborhood is getting ready to rock and roll. Tomorrow is a neighborhood festival and then, not related, I don't think, is a Kenny Chesney concert in the football stadium - at 3 p.m. which I think is a strange time but I was not consulted. Then on Sunday they are expecting something like 50,000 Boeing employees to come to the stadium and watch the simulcast of an airplane rollout. The rollout will be in Everett (30 miles north of here).
I am pretty darned sure I will be right here in Cool-as-a-cucumber SDHQ.
We have a giant website launch for which we gathering the bits. Well, my boss is gathering the bits and I'm trying to figure out what the fuck goes where. It's a bit all over the floor at the moment but it will get ironed out. I am hoping that he at least gets organized enough so that I will have stuff to do over the weekend and not just be sitting here twiddling my thumbs knowing that Monday will spurt 5 days worth of stuff to be done by noon.
Guess I'd better get back to it now... she says, cool-ly...
