I've started this entry a half a dozen times today, several of those times with actual fingers on actual keyboard (as opposed to in-head-only entries).  But, I never got far.  I am now going to get far.  To the end, I'm thinking - of this entry anyway.

It's a bunch of unrelated nuggets.

It's been a bit of a nutto day.  Nothing drastic but just a few loose cannons exchanging cannon balls.  And my trying to surround the exchange with xml code - before they change their mind again.

The weather is wonderful.  It's nice and breezy and not humid.  It will be getting hot again soon but I'm wallowing in this perfect right now.

Sherry and Lee (neighbors) have a fancy year old GE fridge.  It lost it's mind.  They noticed their ice cream was was not cold enough the temperature kept going up and down willy nilly.  They figured compressor.  Turned out it was motherboard.  And even though it was totally out of warranty, GE replaced it for free.  Apparently these brain failures are a known issue.  They figure they are now $700 richer!

I'm not richer at all.  My little pile of stocks is way litteler.  Whew.  This is not my retirement $$ fortunately.  My cracker jack finance guy is in charge of that money and he has it sprinkled around everywhere - lots of it out of the country and some of that out of the country money is doing way better than fine.  Whew.  I'm looking forward to retiring in style.  Someday.  Not today.

I'm so glad that LJ is back.  Remember several years ago - pre-six apart - it went down several Sundays in a row.  It was maddening.  Comparatively speaking it's been pretty solid which makes a day like yesterday even harder...  I'm glad it's back.
