Yesterday, for the first half of the day, I sneezed my head off.  It was very annoying and so finally I took a Claritan tablet.  This morning, to ward off the sneezes, I took another one.  Now my nose is dry and sore.  WTF?

I have always been haughtily proud of never having allergies.  And now, at 58, I am being punished.  That's just mean.  As Earl would say... karma's a bitch.

Antihistamines can dry you out a bit, as well as blocking the allergies. Checking the humidity in your place and making sure it's up to a reasonable level may help, or just put a pot of water on the stove and let it steam for a bit and figure it will even out.

Or you can get the saline nasal stuff like 'ocean' but frankly I prefer a dry nose to that torture!

Yeah, I'm thinking dry nose is better than heating up the joing and/or that saline stuff. I have the air conditioner on again - its air is a little more moist than regular air. I'm thinking tomorrow I'll go back to sneezing.

Are you sure it isn't a summer cold? I had a miserable one a few weeks ago that turned into a sinus infection.

Nope - not a cold. I'm not sure how I know for sure it's not but it's not. Just nose. Not head not chest just nose.
